As per the notification of the University Merit list released by Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University, for the academic year 2016-17, two students of St. Thomas College secured gold Medal (B.A. III, M.A.English) and 14 students secured prominent position in the University Merit list. Meritorious students of the college have brought laurels to the College and the Steel City Bhilai; by securing top positions in the merit list .The students of St. Thomas College have always proved their excellence in academics as well as in co-curricular activities. Ku. Aastha Anand of (B.A. III) bagged gold medal, Ku Chandra Aditi Kundan Lal (B.A.III) secured IV position and Ku. Sarika (B.A. III) stood in V position. Similarly Ku. Manisha Chandra of (B.Sc) Part- III secured VII position .Ku. Monika Sarkar of B.B.A (VI Sem) secured III position and Bhupendra Kumar B.B.A (VI Sem) stood in the VI position .Ku. Shraddha Gindlani of M.A.(English) IV Sem bagged gold medal, Sourav Banerjee M.A.(English) IV Sem secured IV Position , Daliya Abraham M.A.(English) IV Sem secured V position and Raksha Bajpai of M.A. (English) IV Sem secured VI position . Ku. Anu Pandey of M.A. (Economics) stood in the IV positon. In M.Sc (Microbiology) IV Sem Ku. Sulagna Ghosh Barman secured II position,simultaneously Ku. Urvashi Nag M.Sc (Microbiology) IV Sem stood in V position and Ruchi Nair M.Sc (Microbiology) IV Sem got IX positon . Ku .Carol Janis Bilung of M.Sc. (Botany) IV Sem secured III position .In M.Sc (Chemistry) IV Sem Ku. G. Uma secured VI position in the University Merit List. The excellent academic ambience and the innovative teaching and learning process of the college has always helped the students to excel in the academics and secure prominent position in the university merit list.
