Bhilai: The glowing memories of ‘ Bada Baba’ -as Metropolitan Dr. Stephanos Mar Theodosius  of Blessed Memeory were fondly called by the villagers- was re-lived on the occasion of the 11th Annual Feast of the first Metropolitan of the Dioceses of Madras and Calcutta from 28h October to 5th November, 2018 at St. Thomas Chapel, Kailash Nagar, Bhilai. In a solemn ceremony at 12pm at St. Thomas Ashram, Kailash Nagar, H.H. Moran Mar Baselios Marthoma Paulose II hoisted the flag marking the opening of the 8th Memorial Feast of Mar Theodosius .

  1. G. Dr. Mathews Mar Thimothios, Metropolitan of Diocese of U.K.- Europe was the chief celebrant. On 4th November, Holy Qurbana was celebrated by H. G. Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius Metropolitan of Calcutta Diocese .  Hundreds prayerfully participated in the prayer and  Rassa from MGO Cathedral, Bhilai to the Tomb of Mar Theodosius situated at St. Thomas Chapel on 4th Evening.

The 46th  Annual Meeting of St. Thomas Mission was held at 8pm on 4th  November at St. Thomas Mission Centre, Bhilai under the chairmanship of by H. G. Dr Joseph Mar Dionysius Metropolitan. H. G. Dr. Mathews Mar Thimothios was the Chief Guest for the Anniversary. The 3rd Biennial Mat Theodosius Award was presented to Padma Shri Dharmpal Sainiji. The veteran Gandhian was honoured for his devoted and passionate work in Bastar region for the promotion of education among the tribals. Merit holders from MGM Group of Schools were also honoured in the meeting. The cultural events presented by Sunday School students and Liturgical & Devotional Musical event by Jeny Thomas ( MGOSC, Kolar, Bhopal added colour to the programme. Documentary of the Mission projects run by Bhilai Mission was also presented. Very Rev. Geevarghese Ramban, Vice President, welcomed the gathering and Fr. Jose K Varghese, Secretary proposed vote of thanks. Mrs. Sapna Joshi and Mr. Joel Jose conducted the programme.

On 5th of November, Holy Qurbana was celebratecd by  H. G. Dr. Mathews Mar Thimothios.    The Memorial Feast  concluded with love feast followed by ceremonial lowering of Perunal flag at 5 pm by the Diocesan Metropolitan H. G. Dr. Joseph Mar Dionysius .
